About

I have just recently gained a BA Hons degree in Fine Art. My interests include installation, drawing, various types of printmaking such as etching, screen printing, relief, wood cut, lino etc, sculpture, painting, digital art and photography. My past subject matters ( for example human catastrophes, portraits, animals) have been varied  although my most recent completed works are rhizometric formations ( Latin: root ) which offer a mixture of drawings in combination with sculpture. Although botanical by definition, the rhizome used as a metaphor conceptually by the philosophers Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari’s written work; ‘ A Thousand Plateaus.’ describing connections, chain of events connecting individuals – ‘assemblage of bodies.’ The rhizome structurally can be a reference showing how the world we live in works i.e society, politics, art, evolution, networks and the economy can all be perceived. The concept can also indicate mental mapping of process of thought, whether in oneself or lateral thinking of others. However, I have in mind to explore other themes and also would love to be commisioned.
